Elective Classes

YOUTH | Bible Study
What is the Bible? What does it seek to prove? How did we get it? Why should I believe it? How does it apply to me thousands of years after it was written? What is the evidence that it’s true? We face these questions with increasing frequency. With popular culture moving on from the authority and morality of scripture, we must take personal responsibility for where we place our trust. In this class we will discuss what the Bible is all about, why we can trust its teachings, and how we apply its truth.

How to Study the Bible
Understanding the Bible isn't just for the few, the gifted, and the scholarly. The Bible is meant to be read and comprehended by everyone from casual readers to seminary students. Even a few essential insights into the Bible can clear up a lot of misconceptions and help you grasp the meaning of Scripture and its application to your life today.
Our class is based on Gordon Fee's "How to Read the Bible for All its Worth" designed to give you the tools to your hands and the fire to your heart to love and know God's word.

Defending Your Faith
In this class we explore the world of scripture, history, philosophy and science to give a reasonable defense of the Christian worldview. We engage with questions that we, our neighbors, and our culture asks of the Bible and of God. We aim to equip ourselves to "always give a defense of the hope that is found in us" (1 Peter 3:15).
